Northeastern Food Pantry 4832 N. Sherman St. Ext. Mt. Wolf, Pennsylvania 17347 Food Pantry Hours Tuesdays: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays: 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. Thursdays: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The following items are needed: Jello & Pudding (regular & sugar-free); Ramen Noodles, Dish Liquid Detergent, Shampoo, Paper Towels, & Toilet Paper. Items can be placed in the donation box located near the entrance of the Food Pantry behind Starview UCC. Please call ahead if you want to drop off the items during Pantry Hours.
Gift Card Order Dates There are new order forms on the table outside the sanctuary. 2024 Gift card order dates will be: May 19, Sept. 15, Nov. 3, Dec. 8. You can now order Giant gift cards on the order form found in the hallway. Please remember to add $1 to your order to help with shipping. Cash or checks made out to Christ Lutheran are accepted. Just a heads up for the Giant gift cards, they will come in as Stop and Shop cards. Our local Giant takes these so you should not have any problems using them at Giant. Church friends, The next gift card order goes in on Jan. 21 so I'm sending you an updated order sheet in case you need one.
The WELCA meeting will be held on May 17,2024, at the church at 12:00. Bring a lunch and something to drink. WELCA is the women's group of the ELCA and we invite all ladies to please join us any time. We were asked to participate in the collection of personal care items for the Northeastern Angel Tree again. Below is a list of items that can be donated. It will be done on a monthly basis like last year. Below is the schedule, however any item can be brought in at any time.
APRIL-BODY WASH FOR GUYS AND GALS, BAR SOAP MAY-SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER, COMBS AND BRUSHES JUNE-TOOTHPASTE, TOOTHBRUSHES, MOUTHWASH, DENTAL FLOSS OR FLOSSERS JULY-SHAVING CREAM FOR GUYS AND GALS AUGUST-TISSUE THE ITEMS WILL BE COLLECTED UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE SUPPORT YOU GAVE THE ANGEL TREE PROJECT. THE ABOVE ITEMS ARE DISTRIBUTED ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS ALL YEAR LONG AND ALSO USED WHEN REQUESTED ON THE LISTS WE RECEIVE AT CHRISTMAS.

Cecil's Pennies can Don’t forget to place your loose change in Cecil’s Pennies can. First 3 Months of 2024 will be donated to Lutheran Disaster Response. The can is located at the top of the stairs at the back entrance, so clean that change out of your car, under your sofa cushions and anywhere else you may stash that loose change.
Blindsided Soup Kitchen (BSK) Those in need of groceries may call the church office (717-266-1316) before Friday of the week needed for pickup on Friday. Wish list: Canned veggies, fruit cups, canned soup, pudding cups, canned tuna, chicken, spam, scalloped potatoes, bags of cereal, instant mashed potatoes, tuna helper, noodles, rice, peanut butter, and jelly. Knorr noodle/rice packets, canned gravy or packets of gravy, mini canned ham (grocery outlet) Bolded items are needed the most. Pickup for groceries and soup will be on Fridays from 2 – 4 pm. You must call the church office at 717-266-1316 to request groceries/soup. You may call Monday – Thursday 9 am – 1 pm. Please leave your name and number if we are out of the office when you call. We will get back to you asap. Starting Friday April 5th 2-4 p.m. come by and pick up sandwiches/groceries Christ Lutheran Church 66 S. Main St. Manchester, Pa on cart on back stoop around back of church.
Collecting for Christmas—Neighbors helping Neighbors Kleenex, paper towels, and toilet paper. This will be an ongoing project through till Christmas.
